Stephanie Blei is MEDVAL's staff attorney responsible for quality control of Medicare Set-Aside allocations, settlement negotiations, and annuity pricing. She joins MEDVAL after working as an attorney with a Pittsburgh-based law firm in addition to her previous work as both a bankruptcy and judicial law clerk. Stephanie's primary practice area focuses on Medicare laws and policy including the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007, and liability, workers' compensation, and no-fault settlement issues.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Stephanie taught as an adjunct professor in Sociology and English at Youngstown State University. She has since provided pro bono services to Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Stephanie holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Sociology and Anthropology and a Master of Arts degree in English from Youngstown State University. She received her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
